Ever hit a wall in your business journey and wonder how your own mindset could be playing a part? I've been there—starting back in 2012, I thought sheer determination was the key to success, but I've since learned there's more to the story. This episode is a deep dive into the surprising ways our inner work, emotional intelligence, and personal power intersect with the tangible results in our professional lives. Reflecting on my own challenges and growth, I'm laying out the critical, yet often overlooked, elements that can elevate our business strategies from good to game-changing.

Speaker 1:

There's a saying as a business owner that I never thought that I would. Back in 2012, when I started my first business, I did not think would be something that I needed to worry about, and that was my mindset my personal power, because I believe that hard work would get me through anything Right, and I think it does to an extent. Let me be very, very clear my mind will quit on me faster than my work ethic will quit on me. It's kind of like how they say at the gym like your mind will give out before your body does Right. It's the same exact scenario I love using like gym analogies with the whole business owner analogies. They're so good and they work so well together. But the more we work on ourselves, the more we work on. I think it goes deeper than personal development. I think there's a lot of inner work, a lot of emotional intelligence, a lot of personal power Right, the more that we can work on that. I believe it ties very closely in with the results that we get Now.

Speaker 1:

Granted, my results are, or lack of results are, on me. That could mean that even though I don't want to make it mean anything about me personally like I suck blah, blah, blah. But what could I have done better when I can take a step back and I can look at my strategy and I'm like okay, I did this, this and this. Ooh, I didn't talk about that offer as clearly as I wish I would have. I get to make note of that and change that for next time. Or that was a really short launch. I don't think my audience was quite ready for me to move that fast. Let me slow down for the next one. Or that launch was too long. I got really tired of talking about it at the end. How can I shift this and change this next time? Or I wasn't even visible at the beginning. I was really lacking in my visibility and I just decided to start selling. Results probably would have been better if I would have worn my audience up a little bit more.

Speaker 1:

Again, it's not about me personally. It's about the actions, or lack of actions, that I decided or decided not to take. Or I was afraid to put myself out there a little bit more stronger than I normally do, because it was uncomfortable. When we can look at our results like that, it's going to shift a lot of things for you. So, knowing that you were standing in your personal power and then I can separate the actions that I took from the human that I actually am and understand that I can always improve and I can always do better. And what is the quote? If we actually I'm just going to screw this up but if we actually did the things that we were capable of, we would astound ourselves.

Speaker 1:

I think there's always more that we can do, and I don't mean like hustle and crack the whip on yourself and be hard on yourself. No, not by any means. But I believe we can always stretch ourselves, we can always do one more thing. But when it comes to results and when it comes to our mindset, we get to decide Are my results the way that I want them to be? Are my results what I like Did? I wish this would have went better, and sometimes things don't go better because we literally can't handle them. We don't have the systems, we don't have the support and we can't handle them. And I believe, for the most part, unless you go viral and you are very well not prepared for that, which less than 10% of businesses go viral, by the way but anyhow, I believe that you're never gonna get more than you can handle, and a lot of times we don't get the 10 or 20 or 50 that we want because we literally can't handle five. And think about that when it comes to your business. And I think it's also important to, along with all of that, have an offer structure that just makes so much sense to your audience that it makes actually selling the next thing a lot easier.

Speaker 1:

Now the strategy comes into play. Still, the showing up comes into play. The launch strategy comes into play. The way we talk about the offer, the messaging, the clarity of the offer, the result, the transformation yes, all of those things come into play very heavily. But also, having a very strong offer suite not only attracts new people, but it also helps you upsell the people that are already in other programs. So, work on your mindset, work on your strategy and how you show up in your consistent actions, work on your offer and your offer suite, work on your visibility how often are you showing up? How much are you showing up? How frequently are you showing up? How potent are you showing up? All of those things matter when it comes to growing your business, going after a successful launch whatever that successful launch means to you and really creating additional revenue opportunities and success in your business, while making it not mean anything either way about you personally, but about the effort and the actions that you took, or lack thereof. And how can I shift that for the next round?
