We are in iconic season around here, and so it is the perfect time to talk about this important message. So we see this often when it comes to business owners, and breaks my heart, and also it's a mirror, because I've been there. And how many of you just, like, hate mirrors, like, like, and I don't mean like a physical mirror, but like, when you went through something, and you've gone through it, and then you're like, you see other people going through it, and you're like, Oh, I've been there, I've been there. I've done that, I've said that. I felt that. And so what I see is that most of us are running businesses that we are not standing as an iconic brand. We are running businesses, if you remember those cartoons, and I did a like a mini master class on this today, we're running businesses like those cartoons, where they drop the little morsels of food, and they're trying to capture the other cartoon character, right? And so they're like, you know, trying to lure them away. Think about even, is it Hansel and Gretel? I think that they did the candy to the house to capture them. And that's what most of us are doing in business. Like we're waiting on the little drops of morsels, the drops of crumbs to, like, get me to keep moving forward, and we're waiting on these little crumbs so we can get just a little bite. And then we're sitting there. We're like, Okay, I got a little nourishment, and I'm going to sit here and I'm just going to wait, because I know somebody else is going to come along and say the same thing. And then it's been two weeks before anybody's bought, since somebody's bought, it's been two weeks since somebody said anything to us or said any kind word or given us a review or a testimonial or commented on a piece of content. And then we decide, oh yeah, I hate my business. I hate my business. I don't want to do this anymore. But literally, five seconds ago, or two weeks ago, you said I was meant to do this. I was meant to do this. I was made to do this. This is my purpose, and it's your purpose until ish hits the fan, it's your purpose until it doesn't go your way. It's your purpose until the cells don't come through the way you thought they were. It's your purpose until somebody doesn't validate you, and it becomes a cycle. And so we're constantly going from crumb to crumb to crumb, waiting on the next crumb, because if I just hold my mouth open here long enough, eventually the crumb is going to fall in, versus what I like to do, and that's called moving, because I am iconic, and I am an iconic brand. I am not waiting on anyone to validate me. I am not waiting on anyone to tell me that my brand is good enough. I'm not waiting on anyone to tell me that my offer is good enough. I know the results I can get you. I know the gap that I feel. So basically, you have a problem and I know the solution I feel the gap for you to get from before state to after state, meaning before pain, before problem to after problem solved. However, most of us forget about all of that. We just want people to tell us how good we are. We just want people to dictate that there's proof, there's proof that I'm good, there's proof that I know what I'm doing, there's proof that my pricing is right. We want to wait on all of this instead of owning it. And that's the difference between having an iconic brand and not having an iconic brand. When I choose not to own it, I am going to struggle. I'm going to have some good days, but I'm going to dictate my fulfillment of my business by the good days. And I don't know how many of you how long you've been in business, but there are a lot of rough days in business. We've all had them, and we will continue to have them, no matter what level, no matter what revenue you're at. Ish always hits the fan, and it's just like, how much have you built your iconic brand to actually be able to handle that, to actually be able to own, okay, the. It's not the funnest thing, but also I am an icon. I own an iconic brand. I've created this. I am my evidence. I am my validation. I am my proof. I will get through this just like I've gotten through everything else. I've survived 100% of my worst days, some of my favorite quotes, my clients, favorite quotes, versus when I wait on the crumbs and I wait on the validation, I'm always waiting on you, which means I'm always waiting I don't know about you, but I'm not a waiter. I don't like sitting around waiting on people. I move I was helping my husband close the pool. And he literally, he has, like, a mind of his own, and it's like he loves having an assistant. We'll just throw that out there. And he told me to go get something in the garage, but he didn't need it right away. And I was just like, doing whatever I wanted, because I'm just like, Dude, I am not sitting around waiting around a pool for you, like I'm gonna be doing something. And it came out, and he was like, what's wrong? And I said, I don't wait, and I love you, but I'm also not waiting on you. So either you put me to work and give me something to do to make this job faster, or I'm gonna go find something else to do, because I'm not sitting around. And he goes, Oh, well, I didn't know you needed dude. Are you kidding me? Do you not who I am? Another another truth. I went to the chiropractor on Monday. I was in a ton of pain. Was in so much pain, I did something to my neck, and I had been in pain all weekend. It was a great way to spend my birthday, by the way. Now I looked at him, and this guy, we've known him for like, 18 years. He's been my chiropractor, and I looked at him and I said, I don't understand. I don't know if I need to tell you this, but I am a very high achiever, and waiting on this just to get better is not what I'm going to do. So I need to tell you. You need to tell me how to walk, how to work out, how to stand, how to sit, like I need you to tell me how to do every single thing, exercises, anything that I should be doing to make this better, icing, heating, whatever it needs to happen. I am a high achiever, Jeff. I need to know how to do this like I need to get this fixed. I can't live like this. And he looked at me, and he was like, I know you are. And I was like, pretty sure. I've never been that direct with my chiropractor, but listen, I am not waiting. I'm not gonna lay around, but you're also not supposed to lay around anyhow, because it makes because it makes it worse. But yeah, I'm not gonna lay around waiting on it just to one day decide to feel better. We're doing stuff about it around here. And so I think this is what frustrates me so much, because I used to be a waiter. I waited on everything, and you don't. I don't want you to have to go through that. I don't want you to wait on validation. I want you to start owning who you are, owning what you do, owning your greatness, being your number one raving fan, and saying, You know what, I'm not picking up crumbs because I want to be the same person when sales are going through the roof and when they're not meaning. I want to be fulfilled both areas, both times in my business, I want to own my iconic self, because I know that this is perfect timing to say this, because this is actually the next three programs we have. Iconic is first, and in order to attract raving fans, I've got to stand in my iconic power. I've got to be an iconic brand, because in raving fans, we learn the content strategy, but the content strategy doesn't matter if I can't back it up with the iconic brand.
