The thing that people think is that they think there is a struggle with showing up because the market is so saturated. I have so many things to tell you about this because I am going to debunk this belief because I think there are so many things that make you so different than everyone else in the marketplace. Even if you sold the same thing, your prices were all the same, and you were talking to the same, the same ideal person. I believe there is enough, even if those three things were the same, which they probably aren't ever going to be, even if they were the same, there are nothings to differentiate you from being like everybody else. And so here is my list. These are coming from the heart. So I don't even know how many they're going to be, but I'm going with this. Number one, decide you are a category of one. God. They don't make you like everybody else. If you choose to show up and act like everybody else, that is on you. But God didn't make you that way. He made you to be unique and different and have specialized gifts. And if you're not using them again, that's on you. You are a category of one. No one is like you unless you're just mixed up in a sea of the same type of content, the same look of carousels, right? So that's the first thing. And if you don't believe it, do the work to believe that you are a category of one. Because if you keep thinking, well, I think I am, or maybe I could be, but you're not actually doing the work to own that, you're going to struggle. The second thing is, is that There is a crowded space in every industry. And I don't believe that I'm in a crowded space. And the reason I don't believe that I'm in a crowded space, even though my industry technically is a crowded space, is because... I don't just check boxes. I don't just do things that everybody else is doing. I get crazy. I do crazy, uncomfortable things. I purposely put myself in discomfort whenever possible. You know, I've done lots of live challenges with myself. I've done uncomfortable challenges with myself. I've pushed myself. I've stretched myself. I've given myself really big goals. Most of the time business, but sometimes health, but I'm always pushing and stretching myself. Where can I go next? You know, for example, I used to allow people online to trigger me. Okay. Just trigger me. Let's unfollow you. Let's move, move on years and years ago. And today, if someone triggers me, the first question I ask is, why is this triggering me? This is interesting. And I get curious about it. Now, even though I get curious about it, it doesn't mean that the conversation with myself is not gonna be comfortable trying to figure out why I feel a certain way about somebody's content or the way somebody's showing up, but it's doing that deeper work. It's doing. the live videos where I collapsed time in March and said, you know, I'm going to do like six videos a day, five days a week and ended up with 120, 628 videos for the month of March started to blow up my YouTube channel. Again, I'm not like everybody else. Most people, they start a podcast. I think they get to 10 episodes and then they're done. Most people start a business and they give it a, you know, I think there's a big drop off after a year. There's a bigger drop off after two years and five years max, and I'm going on 10. Again, there's way more competition in the average than there is the extraordinary. And I'm not trying to be average. I don't want to be average. I have goals. I only have so much life left and I don't have time to be average. The other thing is, is that a lot of people aren't refining their messaging, their ideal person, what they're an expert at or what they're known for. you can be, there's tons of coaches, right? There's tons of coaches. There's tons of life coaches. There's tons of fitness coaches. There's tons of business coaches. But what are you known for? Cause it's more than that. You know, I started making visibility my thing in 2018. And I've just gotten deeper on that as I've gone. I'm known for visibility. I put myself out there. Again, go back to the crazy challenges, right? I do these things to not only support my visibility, but to show people what is possible. So what is the thing that you're known for? Because you can be a life coach. You can be a business coach. You can be a social media manager. I mean, they're a dime a dozen. They're everywhere. But what makes you different? What sets you apart? What is the thing that you're known for? I remember when my coach, she wasn't really big on niching at the time when I was in her mastermind. And then she eventually did. And I was struggling because I was like, I don't want to be put in a box. I don't want to be like, put like, where I can't, you know, get clients from all different industries. And you know, I had so much resistance about being known for something and I have a lot of clients that have a lot of resistance being known for something. So here's my two, my response for that. There's two options, right? Find something to be known for that you love that you can also branch out on or second have a mission that encompasses everything that you want to do in your brand. One mission, but everything can, it's like an umbrella of everything that you want to do. Again, that's how you differentiate yourself. That's how you are not one of many, you are one of one. The next thing I'll say is be self-led. Be a leader. Go first. Be your own validation, your own proof and your own evidence. When you can do those things, you show up differently online, you stand out differently online, you attract people differently online, you impact and influence people differently online, and it is this really beautiful thing. And the last thing that I'll say is. Be you. Like literally. Show up authentically. Get on video. Put your face on video. Show people who you are in the messy. Let the millions of ums, if that's what you say, with hives. I get hives sometimes on my videos and I'm like, here they go. Cause they start right here and they like climb all the way up. It's just part of, it's who I am. But not everybody gets hives. I know a lot of people do, but not everybody. And so I show that authentic part of myself because guess what? There's a lot of people on video. There's a lot of people doing trends, but not a lot of people willing to go face the cam still to this day. It's like asking them to get on a stage and talk in front of 5,000 people. Most people aren't willing to do it. and the way specifically live video, but any face to cam video, but this is the way that you really show your audience who you are. This is the way that you can stand out. This is the way that you can connect with them in a way that other people can't connect or other audiences can't connect with that person. This is a game changer. because right now in this moment right here with no filter, if you saw me in the store, I'm not a different person. I'm Chrissy Conner. Just like I am on video talking to you face to cam right now. We're having this one-on-one conversation. Sure, other people can watch this video, but I'm talking to you. And that's how you differentiate yourself. That's how you become the category of one. You decide, you realize that, okay, God made me different. Let me show up accordingly. owning your leadership, knowing and always refining right who you are. I think I'm giving you more than I gave you in the first place, but it's okay. And then also really being known for something refining that or having a mission that encompasses everything that you want to be known for. Telling you I thought that would put me in a box, but it opened up the horizon. Also made everything easy. My Content my offers everything flows from visibility I Can do a lot with visibility I can turn visibility to mindset to sales to launches to putting your offers in the spotlight like I can do a lot with it and So I want you to really think about what do you want to be known for? What are you known for? What's your mission and? Really owning that you're a category of one. You're not like anybody else Stop trying to be And that will take you out of the sea of, you know, all you can see is people like you and understanding that you are the only one of you. You're willing to go the extra mile where it's not freaking crowded. And you're willing to do uncomfortable things. You're willing to own who you are, what you do, who you serve, and know that you're not in competition with anybody. It's just you. and your audience. Okay, I'm gonna add one more. Because I love this and that Gary B says this all the time. This is also of somewhere where there's not a lot of competition and it's caring about your audience. Most people are in it for the buck. Most people are in it for the quick win. And when you truly care, like Gary B says, it's the best marketing strategy ever. And you can't fake that. mean, you can fake it for a little while. But when it really comes from the heart and you're really convicted about it, it's gonna be a game changer. So that is how You are no longer a sea of everybody does what I do. You're not one of many, you're one of one. One of one. And that's what I want for you. again, out of everything that I said, put your face on video and let them know who you are and watch the game change.
