What if I told you, you could sell out an offer without even telling people what it is? It might sound impossible, right? But it's not. One of my favorite offers that I love to create once or twice a year is called a secret offer. And this episode specifically is for women entrepreneurs who want to master visibility, build trust, and sell with ease. And one way to test that is to create a secret offer. So let's talk about why this works, how to do it, and what role your visibility plays in pulling it off because it all boils down to the visibility that you've built and the trust that you've built through that visibility in order to make this work. so. In today's episode, we're gonna talk about why secret offers work. We're gonna talk about how to sell a secret offer. We are gonna talk about my first secret offer and how it blew my own mind. And we're gonna talk about like really what you can do to do this with your own audience and also how you can test it with your own audience to find out what the trustworthiness is that you've put out into the internet. It's not good or bad, right? It's just a way to test. and kind of get a temperature check of your audience and know what you need to do next. So, secret offers work because it's not about hype, it really is about trust. Now I wanna clarify this. The hype. is not so much as important as the excitement. But the trust has to be the foundation or a secret offer will never work, right? Your audience buys because they trust you, not the offer details. This is huge, right? And when you position this specifically how I've positioned this, it's like, I wanna work with women who don't wanna know all the details. They've seen me show up enough. They've seen me grow my business enough that it's just like a no brainer offer, right? And secret offers really show the depth of the relationship that you've built with your audience. Plain and simple. If you have not built the depth of relationship with them, it's going to show up when you try to sell something like this, right? If there's no visibility, if there's no brand trust, there's no secret offer period. And I'll actually rephrase that. If there's no consistent visibility, there's no consistent brand trust, right? So a secret offer wouldn't work with your audience. And so this is why we wanna build this foundation because guess what? If you can sell a secret offer, you can sell anything. You've built a trust in your audience, right? When I first sold a secret offer, so the first time I did this was about three and a half years ago in February of 2022. And I was traveling to Minnesota. I was going to, I was in a mastermind and I was going to meet people there. And I decided the first day I got there, I was like, you know, I'm really not going to go sit in this room with people today. I really, I feel like I just have something that I need to do. And I feel really called to do this. This was around a time that I was really struggling with selling and launching. And I went like on a six month hiatus because I kept telling myself I couldn't close. I kept telling myself all these stories in my head. And I had purchased this offer about launching that I had found a person on a podcast. And I said to myself, I don't care if it's day one of this training. I'm going to go launch a secret offer. Like I'm going to go all in. I am not going to be attached to the outcome. I'm just gonna go do this. And matter of fact, in that launch program that I purchased, I realized very, very quickly that trust had to be built, but also I had to trust myself. I had to have the confidence and the conviction that what I could do and what I could support people with shifting as far as their transformation was a real thing. Because if I doubted myself, if I doubted that secret offer, it was not gonna sell. And so I really learned about lean back sales. I learned about all those things, which I teach my clients now because I experienced it. And so in less than 24 hours, I sold 24 spots. And six months before that, like the six months leading up to that, I had struggled selling anything. But you know what I didn't struggle doing? I didn't struggle showing up. I didn't struggle with content creation. I didn't struggle getting on video. I was visible every single day I showed up. I had worked consistently to build trust with my audience. People were so excited about this and I heard over and over, I have no idea what I'm buying, but I trust you. I heard everything you touch turns to gold. I had to go back and look at some of these screenshots. Everything you touch turns to gold. I'm having what you're having. I'm crazy excited. I love learning from you, even if I don't know what I'm going to be learning yet. This was because even though I like to say I didn't have a successful launch, six months leading up to that, the year before I had a $40,000 launch, I had a $24,000 launch, I had another $20,000 launch. So I had all these big launches, right? And then I had a dry spell because I lost confidence in myself, I lost trust with myself, and I stopped believing in myself. because of a couple bad launches and it showed in everything that I did after a bunch of successful launches. So when I decided, I don't really care what happens, I'm gonna put it out there. If people buy that's great, if they don't, that's fine. And I was the most lean back that I had ever been. And I remember in this hotel room, I had got cafe Zupa's, if you've never had cafe Zupa's, they give you a chocolate covered strawberry with everything that you buy. So I was like in heaven. And I got extra chocolate covered strawberries and I go on this Facebook live and I'm talking about this secret offer and all my friends that are in Minnesota who are at this event now they know I'm here. They really know I'm here because I'm in a hotel room doing a Facebook live and they see what I'm doing and I'm just like selling and I just DM after DM. I want in I want in I want in one person. I had sold all the spots but one one person said I don't really like that you're not giving me details. And I said that is absolutely fine. After the 24 hours or the 24 spots are sold, I will drop more details. And this is not for everyone. There's only one spot left at this price range. So it totally is up to you. You can wait until more details are dropped. Again, secret offers aren't for everyone, right, to buy because not everyone has that level of trust with you. But also it starts with having that trust with yourself. And so it was built because of, and it worked because of trust, visibility, and my energy. Every time I have done a secret offer, I have sold. I have sold less than that. I have sold more than that. But I do them once or twice a year. And the first thing, the first requirement is I have fun doing it. So how to sell a secret offer. We already know we gotta build trust. We already know we can have consistent visibility. But number one, you have to have excitement around the unknown. you get to be excited. If you're not excited, no one else is going to be excited. The other thing I love doing is no brainer pricing, meaning that I'm keeping it accessible. So I've done $22, I've done $44, I've done $77, and I've done $111. And I have sold secret offers at all those prices. I've done fun things like it's $111 and you get $111 credit towards a future program. Like I've done all these crazy things, but people have that trust and then they're like curious because people want to know, like I want to know what I'm getting into, right? And so that curiosity drives action. I just did a secret offer this weekend. If you didn't get in on it, I apologize. But it was huge. It was a huge big deal. And again, it's not for everyone, but it is for the people you've built trust with. The next thing you want to have is confidence. So we talked about hype and fun. We want to be excited. We talked about no brainer pricing. We talked about, let's talk about confidence, right? Your confidence signals safety with your audience. If you're excited, if you are confident about what you bring to the table or like the TikTok says, I don't, it's not what I bring to the table. I am the table. They will be too. I'll never forget one of the first people I saw that did a secret offer was Melanie and lair and she always starts them out at typically $111. They eventually go to over $1,000 and people freaking buy them. Even if they didn't get out on the 111 that they know the gold is there. And so the other thing that I will say about how to sell a secret offer is, you know, the value is way more than the price. The return on investment is 10X. Obviously if you do the work, right? And the last thing I'll say is how to sell a secret offer is it's only possible if you've consistently shown up, if you've built credibility and you have proven results. Now, as far as marketing it and selling it, you can decide, am I doing this for 24 hours for a special price? And after that, I'm gonna drop the details. The most recent one I did, I did it from Saturday to Monday night, right? And they, it was a holiday weekend. They could get in and then the, what happens is, is that I start, I raised the price and then I start dropping more details. Like the name will probably be the first thing that I dropped. and then the details will start dropping. But more details that drop, the price increases. Again, it is a fun strategy. It's not for everyone, but if you wanna see if you've built trust with your audience, I challenge you to do it. Because secret offers are proof that visibility and brand trust are your most valuable currencies. You've built brand trust with those people that buy, right? If you want to start a secret offer, start by asking yourself, have I built enough visibility and trust for people to buy with me without needing every detail? And then test it out. Because the worst case is that you see where you need to build more trust and you need to build more clarity with your audience. That's it. I love using these things as temperature checks, right? Do I have what it takes or have I done what it takes to build this trust? And if I haven't, then I get to figure out how to figure that out, right? I get to shift that, I get to change that. Secret offers only work when your visibility and your brand trust are unshakable. Plain and simple. Because you've built visibility the right way. People don't just see you, they trust you so deeply, they wouldn't even think about working with anybody else. That's all it is. and see if this is something you want to attempt with your audience this year or maybe next year. but it's just feedback. It's a temperature check and feedback. And you know what? We can always get more consistent. We can always grow and we can always shift our strategy. But this is a great way to find out what level of trust your audience has with you. And if it's not there, it's not a bad thing. It's just, okay, what do I get to do moving forward to shift this and change this? because I want to build an audience that trusts me. Because when they trust you, they're much more inclined to purchase and be a raving fan.
