Today we're diving into something that you can be as consistent as possible. You can check all the boxes. You can be doing massive loads of video all the time. But my guess is you're not doing enough of this. And I can honestly raise my hand and say, you know what? I'm not either. And so I want to have you think about this very deeply as we dive in to this episode. of the Visibility Impact Show. Today we're gonna dive into what it means to be audacious and why discomfort is the doorway to your greatest results. Let's think about this for a second. I did an internet search on what does audacious even mean? I found intrepidly daring, adventurous, recklessly brave, fearless. showing a willingness to take risks or offend people, brave and courageous, very bold, daring and unconventional, not held back by conventional ideas, very confident and daring, bold and surprising or shocking. So some of those were duplicate words, but just the way that they came out in the phrases, I think is phenomenal. And if you think about audacious, being audacious is very bold and risk-taking. So audacity always carries a risk, right? It's stepping where most people won't. It's unconventional. It's rule stretching because sometimes audacity pushes boundaries. It challenges norms and even can offend conventional expectations. Fearlessness or the, you know, pushing through the fear that you feel, there's a willingness to move forward even when we don't know what's gonna happen. Can we own that we never know what's gonna happen? We may think we know what's gonna happen, but we are always surprised when we think things are solid and they're gonna turn out the exact same way that we think they're going to. And then the other thing is originality and surprise. Audacious acts have a twist or unexpected angle that make them stand out. You know, I will say this, I love using the word uncomfortable. I love using the word discomfort. But audacious is another great word to describe what we should be doing, especially as we are marketing our business. Now. Here's the thing I've always said about discomfort and doing uncomfortable actions is it doesn't necessarily need to be wild to anybody else. It just needs to be wild to you. When I did my 100 uncomfortable actions, one of the things I did was I jumped in my pool. Okay, most people are gonna think that's so lame, but I never jump in my pool, right? For me, it was really uncomfortable, especially because my daughter had me on live video at the time. And I'm like, what if I die on my video, right? Like this is gonna be humiliating. So your discomfort and your comfort zone looks so different than somebody else's and that's okay because we always want to be constantly stretching it. This topic is really just huge on my heart because every time I get into a place of my business where it feels slow or it feels like Groundhog Day, I know every single time it's because I'm playing too small. I'm being too comfortable. And when I'm comfortable, I'm not making as much money as I could be, right? I'm not as attracting as many people as I could be. So when it comes to being audacious in life and business, these are things that we want to create and have, because that is how we grow. We do not grow in our comfort zone friends, right? And if we think about this, you know, a lot of times we are like, I'm not confident enough to do something like that. Guess what? Neither am I. But when you do crazy things like this and you're audacious and you're doing things that are uncomfortable, you build confidence. I guarantee you on June 30th of 2020, the confident level that I had that day and the confidence that I had on August 1st, 2020, because I did 100 live videos, I guarantee you if I took side-by-side pictures, you could tell. Because confidence is built by keeping the promises to ourselves. even when they're scary, even when we got to show up courageously or fearlessly or however you want to call it, right? When it comes to audacious moves and entrepreneurship, it doesn't have to be a hundred lives in July. You don't have to do the things that I did. You don't have to do 365 days of uncomfortable action. You don't have to do a certain amount of like lives or videos a month. It can be really just launching before you feel ready. raising your prices, showing up differently. Trust me, there may be some people that say, who does she think she is charging those prices? And that's okay. Because guess what? They're not your people or they're not your people yet. Audacity matters because when we are playing small, we are safe and we are going to become stagnant. Audacity is something that's gonna break patterns. it can create new opportunities and command visibility. Because when you decide to go against the norm of doing what not everybody else is doing, right? That's an audacious move. It's a pattern interrupt. And the one thing, if you get really good at marketing your business, you are going to interrupt a lot of patterns. And when you are the pattern interrupt, when you are the scroll stopper, that's why people pay attention. Yeah, we don't need to do that all the time, but we do need to get their attention so they pay attention to what we're saying. Because if they don't stop their scroll, they're not gonna listen to what we say. Audacious moves can change how others perceive you and also how you perceive yourself. I'll never forget when I did my 100 lives in July of 2020, one of my peers said, I never believed you would do it. I thought there was no way. There were other people that tried to do it with me, could not do it. There were people that tried to do it after me, really struggled doing it. Again, it wasn't a challenge for everyone, it was a challenge for myself. And I want you to think about this. Like, people think that I'm crazy sometimes, and that's okay, I don't mind that, right? Because crazy grabs attention. People don't understand why I do the things that I do, and that's also okay. I don't need them to understand. I just need to understand why I'm doing it. And because I said I'm gonna do it, I wanna be my word to myself. And then I'm gonna build so much massive confidence and uh self respect and self trust because I know that I do what I say I'm gonna do. Growth is always gonna happen outside your comfort zone. And I don't know about you, but I'm not done growing. I never wanna be the smartest person in the room. I always want to be growing and learning. And when you do something that's uncomfortable, it is a signal that you're expanding. I... have done so many crazy things. One of my favorite is I took this hiatus from launching or selling and I thought, you know what, I'm visible enough people can just see me. Like if they wanna buy something, they'll just ask me for the link, which does not happen by the way. And so I spent the most money I'd ever spent on a course. It was a four week course. It was $4,000 and I decided. I didn't even care till I wasn't waiting till the thing was over with. I was going to launch something insane. The first training I went to, I had learned nothing, but a little bit at that point, but I was so confident and so audacious that I was just like, you know what, maybe I'm going to fail, but I'm going to start failing now because the more times I fell, the more times I'm rejected, the more times I'm going to create success and the more times that people are going to say yes. And that was like a turning point in my business. that I decided to do that, that I decided to be audacious and go on a Facebook live eating a chocolate covered strawberry and telling people I had a secret offer. I never sold a secret offer. and people were like buying it because I was just so out there and I was creating something and doing something that not a lot of people had been doing at that time. And you know, when we are uncomfortable, we do feel discomfort, it is evidence that you're moving towards the result that you want. Matter of fact, whatever it is nagging in the back of your mind that this is uncomfortable, my gosh, your subconscious is literally telling you to do it. Small moves are gonna stretch your comfort zone, right? And it doesn't have to be something big. You can make tiny audacious moves every single day. Or you can do something big and audacious that you scream and yell at the world and tell them what you're doing. But even something as small as posting something vulnerable, know, pitching yourself to be a guest on somebody's podcast or summit or, you know, in-person event, raising your rates, these little things help those big audacious moments become so much more exciting. I've never bungee jumped. However, I feel like every time I do something really uncomfortable, that's what it would feel like. So I want you to ask yourself, where can you be more audacious today? Because audacity and discomfort equal your next level results. I want you to decide and I want you to declare one audacious action today. I don't care when you listen to this. I want you to tag me. and tell me what you're doing when you share it with the world or private message me and share what you're doing. I cannot wait to watch you take audacious moves and blow your business up.
