How to Get Found by AI: The Content Strategy That Actually Works in 2026
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Learning how to get found by AI in 2026 is no longer optional for entrepreneurs who want to grow online. With YouTube now the number one source cited in AI-generated answers and 64% of all new internet content being AI-generated, the rules of visibility have shifted fast. But the strategy that wins has not. In this episode, visibility strategist Crissy Conner breaks down exactly what AI is rewarding right now and how to build a body of work across platforms that gets you recommended, referenced, and found.
If you have been wondering why AI is not recommending you, why your content is not compounding the way it should, or whether you are already too far behind to catch up, this episode was made for you. The answer is not to create more content. It is to show up as a real, consistent, recognizable human with one clear message across multiple platforms so that AI, search engines, and real people can all find you and trust you.
This is the content strategy that has always worked. In 2026, AI is simply confirming it.

YouTube just overtook Reddit as the number one cited source for AI generated answers. And you should be listening up to this because if you have been inside my world for any time at all, you know, you already have a head start on this. If you have implemented a YouTube strategy and a YouTube channel. So we have a whole feed flooded with AI content, right? Volume is technically no longer the advantage, but you. Your presence is, is created to literally make our lives easier, which means that we should be able to implement more human to human content. It should free up time for visibility. And so when we think of video first, we think of transcripts that go with those videos. This is not a new strategy. This is the strategy that I have been teaching from day 64 % of newly published internet content in 2025 was AI generated. What does that tell you? The noise out there is deafening. And the only way to break through is to be a real person. a real human showing up humanly in multiple places consistently with a congruent message, right? And so this is not being everywhere and burning out. This is not abandoning what's working to chase the new thing. It is really repurposing one core message. again, if you listen to this podcast, we have a repetition strategy. We talk about repetition, right? And the thing is, is that we forget that AI can scour the internet so fast at one time. And if there is not one core message it can find from you, what is it going to do? It's not going to recommend you because it's confused, just like your audience is. And so it really is about building this body of work that AI, search engines, and real humans can all find. And here's the fascinating thing, friends. The more we build trust with AI platforms, the more we actually build trust with humans. It's doing all the things that have been basics from day one. So if you have been missing out on this opportunity, right, to truly diversify your visibility, then we're missing out on a lot of things. We could have been building this foundation from the beginning. And many of you may have this foundational stuff done, you just don't have it done in a way that AI can read it or AI can understand it. And that YouTube stat is the proof point. Not only is it YouTube videos, but we're talking about YouTube lives. To my knowledge, I'm sure it'll be possible in the future, but your AI twin can't go live on YouTube. nor would you want it to. The creators that are showing up in AI answers are not the ones who posted just one time or posted a video about that one thing one time, right? They're the ones who are building libraries. Their transcripts are getting indexed. Their videos are getting watched. And this takes time and it takes presence and it takes more than one channel, right? We want all the channels to be saying congruently the same thing. We want other people to be saying congruently the same thing that we say about ourselves. So let's break this down. YouTube, the number one AI-cited source right now. So if you are not treating videos like searchable assets, you are leaving visibility on the table. LinkedIn, showing massive growth, right? uh This is where it can see this trajectory and this timeline of what you've been doing. Because if you think about it, LinkedIn is like your resume, right? And so we can see exactly where you've been, what you've done, and what you're doing. And it wants not only that, but your website home about page to reflect that same information so that it knows that that's the same person, right? We want to think about short form video across platforms. It's still compounding. It's still building the library. We want to think about PR and opportunities for other people to feature us and cite us because it's all feeding in to the same AI algorithm that again, it's not just me saying that I'm a visibility strategist and I'm the CEO. and founder of the Visible CEO, but it's other people saying that too, right? We want to consistently make sure that we are showing this is happening. know, I've had Visible members who have had 1700 % in LinkedIn growth, like 13,000 Pinterest growth, you triple digit TikTok numbers, but that was diversified visibility doing exactly what it's doing now. It's building this body of work that lives beyond the day that you posted it. I had clients this week. who have been featured in articles just for them. Again, it's building and compounding. Yes, we wanna be live on the feed. Yes, we want to be uh visible on the feed through Google search, through AI. It's all compounding together. diversified visibility without a clear identity, knowing who you are. Because we don't know who we are, how are we gonna talk about ourselves in a congruent way, right? So the women who are winning aren't just diversified, but they're also undeniably themselves. That human piece. The platform carries whatever the message is that you have. The actual person with the message is the person and the way that it becomes unforgettable. You cannot be everywhere if you do not know who you're showing up as because identity has to come first. Then that's when the strategy, that diversified strategy truly works harder than you do. So three moves that you can absolutely do this week. Number one, audit where you currently exist online. Are you one platform dependent? You know that platform is not guaranteed. It is borrowed traffic. So what are you gonna do if that one platform went down? You want to pick one piece of content that you are known for and ask where else could this live? Where else could I create this strong repetition strategy and put it there as well? And if you are already on YouTube, what's happening on YouTube? Are you treating your titles and descriptions like searchable assets? Because AI is reading them, but also people are searching for them. The people asking, am I getting left behind by AI are looking at the wrong thing. The people who are actually ahead are the ones who are building this body of work across platforms to not only show up consistently and refusing to stay in one lane, but you're so visible to AI. And the thing is, is that we're talking about this more than 2026 than we ever have, but it's not just a 2026 strategy. It's what we've been building all along. But in 2026, AI is confirming that it was right all along. It was the strategy all along. And it's what we should have been following all along. The question is, have you been doing these things? And if you haven't, when are you gonna start? Because we already know AI is moving super fast. The question is, are you moving or getting left behind?
