In this episode, Crissy Conner, walks through the exact test she runs on herself every few months to check her AI visibility, across Google, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. She shows why a generic question like “who should I hire as a coach” will almost never surface, why a niche specific question changes everything and why being logged in can quietly lie to you by pulling from a memory instead of giving you a true public recommendation.
OMNI - Become Known, In Demand, and Confidently Visible With a visibility strategy that works harder than you do.
OMNI is your group coaching experience where you learn how to create visibility that works harder than you do. A strategic blueprint to become discoverable on the feed, search and AI. https://thevisibleceo.com/omni
right now in this moment, AI is recommending somebody in your niche or your industry. Right now, in this moment. When a potential client goes and asks, who can help me with? Who can I hire? Who would you recommend? And the only question is whether is it you? Is it a competitor? Who is it? In the next few minutes, I'm gonna tell you exactly how you can find this out for yourself. And most of you are gonna be surprised about what you see. And so when we think about AI recommending someone, there's a lot that goes into play here. If, let's say, for example, AI knows that its person loves the most discounted thing. They love the cheaper price, and you are a high-ticket coach, the odds of you being recommended ever are slim to none, unless you offer very quick hits, low-ticket items as well. And so I want you to understand that even though we're doing this test, and you're gonna do this in an hopefully in an incognito window. It still could tell someone else something differently, but we wanna give it overall what is it gonna say? We wanna give Google the opportunity, Chat GPT, Claude, Gemini. We wanna see what are they saying and who are they recommending. And do you even have a shot with the way things are coming up right now? Like, are you the top three? Are you the top five? Like where do you rank? And this is gonna help you just understand exactly where you're at. But the good news is is that we don't have to stay where we're at. You do not have to stay wherever the number is that you're air quote ranking. And so we look at AI recommending people differently, depending on the exact question is phrased. If we ask a generic question, like who should I hire as a coach? Okay, well, that's really wide, Like that's is it a life coach? Is it a business coach? Is it a baseball coach? Like AI has no idea who you're. What you mean. And so depending on how much it knows you, it's gonna give you a totally different answer. But when we look at asking, for example, a more defined question, if we ask more of a niched or industry-specific question, it's gonna look a lot different. And so I'm gonna take you through exactly how I did this for myself and exactly how you can do it for yourself. And when we do this type of work, it's not necessarily saying, am I visible to AI? Yes or no? Because most likely in some way, shape, or form, you are. We just may have to go very, very, very niche and very, very specific. And we need to remember that our person isn't going to be that specific. And they're not gonna be that niche down. And the good news is if you show up even in that moment, that's great. That's a win. And we can go further and we can take this a little deeper and figure out exactly what's going on in your own AI visibility and how to fix it. So, number one, when you do this work, what I want you to do is I want you to either be preferably logged out of your Favorite platform. So being logged out or going into an incognito window. And I wouldn't I would highly recommend doing this on a desktop because you're you're gonna wanna save this data. Because how do we know if we improve if unless we save it, So if we save this information, most chats inside ~ different AI platforms will let you download a PDF and you can see exactly what you went through to get to your name. And exactly what you need to do or where you want to be showing up moving forward. So meaning if you had to go very, very layered and you're like, I don't, like, I think most people are gonna ask the third question that I asked. Like, we wanna make sure that we're coming up in that. So that's what we want to focus on. So we want a really clean search. Now the thing is is that your AI knows you better than anybody else, It knows you. And we wanna make sure that we're not creating any discrepancies with that. So search logged in or an incognito window. And then when we think about logged in results, they're probably going to be flattered. But also, probably three months ago I was searching logged in results and they weren't flattering at all. Like it still wasn't recommending me. So we want to make sure that we're we're not tapping into the memory, because that's a trap of the AI tool. So if AI or if ChatGPT or Gemini already knows you from past chats, it may name you just because it remembers you. Not because you're actually recommended. Okay. So we're gonna check this in many different ways. And if you want to pause this as we go through it or just take some notes, either one works. But the first thing you're gonna go do is go to Google. We just want a clean Google search. And I want you to search a generic version of what you do. So for example, who would you recommend as a? And I can put in visibility strategists. And we want to look at the AI overview. Are you in it? Most likely, if I search who would you recommend as a as a visibility strategist, it's gonna give me a couple names, and I really want my name to be in that. And so when you google it, what comes up? So when I Google, who would you? I'm doing it right now, you can hear me typing as a visibility strategist. My name does not come up. Okay. It's given me four top names. I do not get named at all. Now, who would you recommend as a visibility strategist for female coaches? So we're gonna go a little different, we're gonna go a little deeper in this. So we're going a little bit deeper. So who would you recommend? Just the name of what you do. Then who you're also for, So if it's female coaches, female entrepreneurs. Okay, when I go across this, when I added the three other things for female coaches looking to dominate across all three core visibility domains, the feed, social, social media, traditional search, GE or SEO and Google, and AI engines. The top recommendation is Crissy Conner founder of the Visible CEO. Then it talks about my stop, my top strategic recommendation. And then it gives highly specialized alternatives after me. But I am the number one. The number one when I put that in. So I had to go three layers deep this time. Last time I did this, I went two layers deep. But again, it depends on where you're searching. Are you logged in? Did it already know that answer? Is it giving me a different answer? So you're gonna have a lot of different things that come up, but we want to know, do I have a shot? So going three layers in feels really good. So that's the first thing that you're gonna do. And you're looking for that AI overview. And I want you to read through that AI overview. And is it accurate? What is it saying? Now, the next thing that I want you to do is I want you to go to Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT. I would prefer you actually do these in all three because you want to see where you're at. This is one of the things before we started working on our visibility to AI, I did with all my close proximity clients in the visible inner circle, and I gave them this feedback. Like, this is how hard it was for me to find you. And so I want you to really look at this overall and see. So Again, you're gonna write it in Gemini, Claude, and Chat GPT. And I have my actual documents here because I downloaded the PDFs and I'm gonna share them with you. So again, who would you recommend for a visibility strategist? Very, very, very simple, Most likely you will not come up in that first one unless you're really, really specific. So I have clients who are do motorsports marketing. If they said, Who do you recommend for motorsports marketing? Most likely my client would get recommended. If you ask about another client, who would you recommend for ~ stormwater marketing? My other client would get recommended, her or her husband or both. And so when it comes to something really, really specific like that, you could come up first. But if you're going like Who would you recommend as a marketing agency? Neither one of them are gonna come up because it is really broad. And so again, unless their platform knows, they're in stormwater, or knows that they're in, you know, motorsports, it's not necessarily gonna recommend my clients. And so we wanna make sure that we are looking through this with a a different So when I search Chat GPT, which I don't use very often anymore, I'm pretty much a Claude and Gemini person t these days, but I still gotta know what the n the most popular platforms are saying about me. So when I go into ChatGPT, And I said, visibility strategist, not me, visibility strategist for female coaches. It said I'd put Crissy Conner at the top of the list. Now I don't use ChatGPT, but I still was logged in. And so I had to go back in and I said, Can you can I ask you again with no information in the chats that we have Like I need to know publicly who you would recommend. And so the second round of same question. It would recommend me as second, not first. That is pretty freaking good. And it's even said, ~ because I said, Did you get this externally or from anything you know about me? And it said both, but the recommendation of Crissy Conner was materially influenced by what I already know about you from prior and save context. Specifically, this is what I already knew. So let me go and redirect this and do a completely blind competitor recommendation test where I ignore everything that I know about you. Yes, this is what I want you to do. And so it did the blind recommendation and I came up second. And so that felt really, really good. I did this again in Gemini. And again, I asked from a public standpoint. The reason we always want to ask Gemini, especially because we're always going to be dealing with some type of Google product, We Google search, we do YouTube, we, you know, Google is still the largest search engine. And so I want to know. And so when I did publicly, who would you recommend as a visibility strategist for female coaches? My name does not come up. Let me look here. Nope. My name is not coming up in this first one. They they list five and the fifth one like Jenna Kutcher, which is interesting. but not my name. And then when I go and say, what about visibility strategist, female coaches for the feed, search, and AI? Number one, the full spectrum visibility strategist is Crissy Conner down an omni-channel discovery for female coaches and service providers. And then it talks about my proprietary methods. It talks about all the things that I do. It links to my website. Again, this is great. This is exactly what I want to see. And then when I went to Claude. I said, who would you recommend as a visibility strategist for female coaches? Crissy Conner number one. Then I go down and I said, Did you give me my name? Because that is who you'd recommend, or is it because you know information that I've given you? And it says, I don't actually know who you are. So I couldn't have recommended you based on nothing on knowing your identity. I have no memory of past conversations with you enabled in this chat. And I was like, okay, I love that. And then I said, if I asked for a visibility strategist only, who would you recommend? So not adding in that female coach. And it said, okay, I that's really broad and I would not recommend this this name. And if I named one. I wanted to make sure it's a confident recommendation. Interesting. And then what I asked after that was, what do you think about the visible CEO, which is my brand name? Okay. And again, it gave me some information. So when we do this search, if you're a personal brand, search your name. If you also have a brand for your business, because I am a personal brand, but my business brand is the visible CEO. I am Crissy Conner, the visible. I'm the I'm Crissy Conner Visibility strategist, founder of the visible CEO. So that is huge. That says that everywhere. I am connected to the visible CEO everywhere. And so we want to search all of these. And then your last search is going to be just go to Google, put in your name. Just put in your name. Do you take up the first page? And if it gives you an AI overview, is it correct? Do the same thing with your business name. Or your your brand name, the visible CEO is what I would do. What comes up? What does that look like? And so I want you to do this and I want you to think about what do you discover? When I first did this, the first thing I discovered is there's a lot of incongruencies about Crissy Conner out there. Because Crissy Conner has been A visibility coach. I've been a visibility strategist. I have been a visibility expert. I have been a visibility mentor. I have been the visibility queen. Now I'm the visible CEO. And there were a lot of incongruencies. And I that was like my number one goal when I first started this. I have to make sure that I'm getting all this. It makes sense. Because if somebody searches, I want to make sure that it's really solid who it says I am, no matter where. And that's another really good thing you can do is go ask AI publicly, who are you? Who would it recommend you to? Like get really deep with this and find out you can see very, very clearly exactly the holes and where you need to fill this in and your copy and your description, all of those things. And then the next thing I want you to ask is how deep did you have to go to actually find yourself? Like, did you have to ask two questions? Three questions, five questions, and how deep were they? Because we have to remember that most people are never going to scroll past the first screen. Or the AI overview. So many people take the AI overview in Google as gospel. Like that is the truth. And there's no reason I need to read any further. And if your ideal client has to run three specific searches to find you, they're probably not going to. Not unless they go on a more specific questioning. Okay, great. I don't know any of those three people. Could we find somebody in my area, in my location, in the United States? Like they could go a little deeper and ask questions like that, but not always. And so when we look at AI, are we sure our person would dig that deep? When we look at Google, is it accurate? Is there anything that's no longer valid? One of the things I found was that I used to be a recruiter, an IT recruiter. So I had a lot of job listings all over the online space. And so some of that came up in my search too. And I was like, that was a past me and and that's great that understands that's who I am. And I've been online and I have this like reputation online that's lasted this long, but it's not actually who I am and what I do now. I don't want there could to be confusion. And then if it's not accurate, what's wrong? You've got you get to screenshot this, download this. One of my favorite, and I it's a free ~ extension, is called ~ GoFull Page. And it will copy everything on your page as a PDF, and you can even take that information and put it in the AI and be okay, why is there this discrepancy about me? And so you can you can literally copy everything on that page as a PDF, and it's really nice. So what is AI saying or Google? That's that's wrong, or it's not completely accurate, or there are things missing, or maybe it's it seems like a dead end. Where are you not showing up on the first page? When you search Crissy Conner, you can go test this right now. I for the first six pages, they're all me. Ins on the fourth page, there is an obituary for Crissy Conner spelled a different way that is not me, but everything else is me. Now it could be somebody else's website talking about me. It could be somebody else's website that I'm a podcast guest on. So you could see some you could see an Apple, for example, ~ link to an Apple podcast. It may not be my podcast, but it's me on the podcast. And so that's impressive to be able to get that many pages. And I could have more than six pages, but six pages is as far as I went to actually look. So when we Google our name, what's coming up? What do we see? Are we taking up all of page one? And if it's other people or old profiles of ours, Or nothing much fits or feels that first page with you, that's the first thing we've got to fix. And it all starts with your website. Your website has to be the home with the most accurate information. And if you go to your about page and that information is not accurate, go change it. I would matter of fact make an I would make a recurring calendar note every quarter to go in and check this. Or if you're a little more anal like me, every single month, is it still accurate? Does it talk about your offers? Does it talk about what you do? Can people understand whether or not to hire you? Let's say, for example, somebody sees you on Instagram and they go to Google, who is Crissy Conner? I am not worried. I am not worried at all. I am not worried. The visible CEO can be different depending on who searches it, because there is a company owned by Verizon called Visible. It is a cell phone company. And sometimes when you tur search the visible CEO, they bring up, I think her name is Angie, and they bring up Angie because she is the CEO of the company Visible. So there is a little discrepancy there. But if somebody searches Crissy Conner, I have hands down, they're gonna find out exactly who I am. I feel so solid in that, which is great for a personal brand. So I want you to do your own demo. What comes up? I want you to take all of this data and really look at it and date it. So for example, if you download a PDF or you're putting all this on a Google Doc, date it so that you can go back in 30 days after you've made some of these changes and see does it change? Does it come up differently? And this is like the number one first step. What is accurate? What isn't accurate? And then find out this inaccuracies, where are they getting them from? So for example, the great thing about let's say Claude Gemini or~ Chat GPT, if they're pulling information about you that's inaccurate, okay, where did you get that? And it should give you a link of where that information came from. So if you're an alumni association, if you are a part of an industry association, it has outdated information about you, that gets to be updated. And again, the about page on your website is the number one place that everything should be accurate. And then everything you find about yourself online should what that about page says. This is like the ultimate first step of what everyone should be doing to make sure that you're visible to two places because this is a twofer. You're visible to AI, but you're also visible to Google. I cannot wait to hear what comes out of this. What did you discover? What do you need to change like right now? Like, what's the priority? You can even put these findings into your favorite AI tool and say, I'm working on my AI and my Google visibility. Like, where should I focus on first after you find all these things and you let AI know this is inaccurate, this is great, but I want to come up when people search XYZ. And if you are like, I don't want to do all that, Crissy. I just want you to help me do this. And you want to join one of two programs. Number one, you want to join the Omni program, which is a six-month program. You can obviously stay longer, but I go through step by step and trainings, and then you can hop on group coaching calls to get more feedback on this. You can also join the Visible Inner Circle, which is a much deeper hands-on personalized experience. Or you could start. With going into visible and in demand, where we're gonna talk about all the ways to be visible across the feed, AI, and search, and you can really start nailing down some of this. The most descriptive, if you want to right away and you wanna start getting to work, Omni, visible second. If you just you want a taste of this and you just wanna dip your toes in, then visible and in demand is the program for you that we start next week if you're listening to this live. So make sure you do this test. Reach out to me and let me know what you found. And I cannot wait to see you inside my world in some way, shape, or form so that I can serve and support you on a different level.
